Q: Are there any setup fees for servers/hosting?
A: No, there are no setup fees.

Q: Where are your servers located?
A: We currently have servers located in Dallas, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Seattle, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, and London. Test your ping to these locations from the servers listed on the right side of your screen. We are expanding rapidly and if we do not have servers located close to where you live, we will shortly.

Q: Will I have FTP access?
A: You will have full access to your server with a powerful Web Based Tool called CS Admin and any FTP program you wish to use.

Q: What are HLStats and HLStatsX?
A: HLStats (For Counter-Strike 1.6 and Condition Zero) and HLStatsX (For Counter-Strike Source, Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, DOD:Source, and more) are web based stats and are different from in-game stats, which some mods provide. HLStats are maintained on our website. Click below to see an example of what your HLStats and HLStatsX would look like.
HLStats and HLStatsX

Q: Will you install mods on my server for me?
A: Most of the popular mods we have in our mods section you can install yourself with the click of a button inside CS Admin.  If the mod is not available in the control panel preconfigured for you to install, simply open a support ticket and one of our experienced support specialists can assist you with more information on how to install mods.

Q:Why can't I find my server in the Steam server browser?
A: There are thousands of servers listed in the Steam list and sometimes it doesn't list them all when doing a search. The most common mistake is not setting the correct Region filter. When searching for servers click on "Filter" and select the region that your server is located in. The region setting is a setting within your server.cfg file (sv_region). If you select the correct region, then you should be able to easily find your server listed. Possible values for the sv_region variable are below. The most common variable for this is "1." If you want your server to be located in a different region, simply change the variable in your server.cfg file and restart your server. Searching in the Steam list with that region Filter should now being up your server.

// 0=US East coast, 1=US West coast, 2= South America, 3=Europe, 4=Asia, 5=Australia, 6=Middle East, 7=Africa and 255=world.
sv_region 1

If that does not work, try the "Run Steam Update" feature within your control panel. If Steam came out with an update, then your server may need to be updated to the most current version before it’ll show on the Steam list.

Q: HLSW is giving me an error
A: We are unable to provide support for third party programs. Please search the forums on their website or their faq's section for help with the program. The below link is a good place to start. HLSW has a known issue that says "can not view logs" when trying to retrieve "get logs" from HLSW. This is an issue with the program and not your server provided by us.

Q: I'm getting a "video mode" or "Direct X" error
A: This does not have to do with the server that you purchased from us. Please seek support for your video card or the game files on your computer might be corrupt. A common solution to these problems is reinstalling your video card drivers or your game.

Q: I want to switch my server to a different location.
A: If you would like to have your server in a different location, open up a Support Ticket and your server will be moved. Your server ip address will change, but your server configurations will stay the same. There is no fee assocated with this.

Q: What are the terms and conditions?
A: Terms and Conditions

Q: How do I cancel my account?
A: To cancel your account, please open a support ticket in your game server control panel. This is the only way we can identify you as the account owner. Also, it allows us to identify what services belong to you.

Q: I want to add more or take away player slots from my server.
A: Open a ticket in CS Admin. Your billing will be changed to reflect how many players slots you now have.

Q: How do I add music to my MOTD?
A: Your motd can be made into an html document. If you have web space, you can refer to your music file in your motd.txt like this:

<head>
<NOEMBED>
<BGSOUND src="http://www.yoursite.com/cstrike/sound.wav">
</NOEMBED>
</h ead>
<html>
Your motd message goes here

Q: I have my server set up how I like it - how can I backup my configuration?
A: You don't need to backup core files (like srcds.exe, etc) which have no configuration changes. You only need to backup files you have configured. Simply download those files by clicking on them in the file manager utility within your control panel. You can save them on your home computer as a backup. If you wish to download many files at once, check the box to the left of the filename and then click the "zip files" at the top of the file list. You may also download files to your computer quickly via ftp.

Q: I uploaded custom maps to my server, but they are not working.
A: Make sure you downloaded the maps from a trusted online site and you are not simply uploading maps that you have downloaded onto your computer automatically when joining servers. If you are simply uploading maps that you already have on your computer, then you will not have all of the needed files on your server for the map to function properly. Please redownload the map and follow the directions that that specific map came with. If you are getting the message 'missing BSP,'see the section dedicated to that message.

Q: I'm getting the error message "Error verifying STEAM UserID Ticket" and can't connect to servers.
A: You'll need to log out of Steam and back in. This is different from closing Steam and reopening Steam. Make sure you know your steam username on your account and your password.
1) Right click on your Steam Icon at the bottom right of the taskbar.
2) Click on "Settings."
3) Click "Log in as different user..."
4) You'll be logged out and you'll need to sign back in with your username and password.

Q: How do I use admin?
A: You will first need to install an admin Mod. Please see the section on SourceMod.

Q: How do I use RCON?
A: You will need to use RCON commands on your server if you do not have a mod (Admin Mod, AMX Mod, Mani-Mod) installed.

You must login to rcon BEFORE the server will accept commands from you.
Assuming the rcon password (set in server.cfg) and included in your account information email for your server is "Password", the syntax to login to rcon is: (THESE ARE CASE-SENSITIVE and have to be typed in the console window)

rcon_password Password

You may then type commands such as:

A: Bots are built into Counter-Strike: Source.  Within your control panel under "Default Config Files" you'll have a Bot.cfg file.  You'll need to modify the file to allow bots on your server and you're done after restarting your server.

Q: How do I add mods?

Q: Why do map changes take so long?
A: If you have mani-mod installed on your server, check to see when your in-game stats are set to compile. Make sure stats are set to compile at the end of each round and not at the end of each map so there is not as much information to compile upon map changes. See the Mani Mod FAQ for setting your start to compile at the end of each round. Also, the longer the map time is the longer it takes to compile stats. Set your maps to last for the default 20 minutes. Please see the mani-mod section for further information.

Q: How do I enable fast map downloads?
A:
1) You need to have dedicated web space to allow users to download maps from (Purchased from Counter-Strike.com or any other web hosting provider).
2) Add the following variable to your server.cfg file (replace with your web address)

sv_downloadurl "http://yourdomain.com/cstrike/"
At this location you need to create a directory structure to reflect what your counter-strike server directories and files look like (every file needed for the specific maps).

Place your maps at this location: http://yourdomain.com/cstrike/maps/
Any other files that are needed for the maps should be included in the respective directories as well.

Basically what you are doing here is creating a directory structure that is identical to your actual game server, except these directories will be located at a web address. You are then pointing your users to this location (by defining it in the server.cfg) to download maps. Many maps have sounds files, etc, so all of the related files must be put into the directories they are meant to be in. It is very important that you include the .res file with your map. This file tells the user what files they need to download (.bsp file, .wav file in /sounds, etc.)

If you have any questions. Refer to the link below
Fast Map Downloads

1)Log into CS Admin
2)Stop your server with CS Admin.
3)From the first screen in CS Admin click on Game Servers
4)Click on your server ip address
5)Click on File Manager
6)Click on cstrike directory
7)Click on cfg directory
8)Click on mani_admin_plugin directory
9)Click on data directory
10)Place a checkmark by the mani_stats.dat file (if it exists) and all other files that start with "mani_".
11)At the very top click on Delete Files
12)Restart your server

Q: Why do map changes take so long?
A: Check to see when your in-game stats are set to compile. Make sure stats are set to compile at the end of each round and not at the end of each map so there is not as much information to compile upon map changes. See the FAQ for setting your start to compile at the end of each round. Also, the longer the map time is the longer it takes to compile stats. Set your maps to last for the default 20 minutes.

Q: Setting stats to compile at the end of each round.
A: You will need to change a variable in your mani_server.cfg file. Follow the instructions below.
1)Log into CS Admin
3)Click on Game Servers
4)Click on your server ip address
5)Click on File Manager
6)Click on cstrike directory
7)Click on cfg directory
8)Click on mani_admin_plugin directory
9)Click on the drop down box next to mani_server.cfg and select edit
10)Find the variable mani_stats_mode and change the variable beside it to 1.
11)Save the file.
12)Restart your server.

Q: Other Mani Mod Questions
A:
Comprehensive Mani Mod Documentation: http://www.mani-admin-plugin.com/

Q: How do I unban a player?
A: If you have admin access, use the following command to unban a player from the chat menu:
@ma_unban [Steam ID or IP Address]
Example:
@ma_unban STEAM_0:0:123456
@ma_unban 192.168.1.1

If the above does not work, find your "banned_ip.cfg" and "banned_user.cfg" files in your server's "/cstrike/cfg" directory and delete them. After they are deleted, restart your server and all users will be unbanned.

Q: How do I add custom music and sounds to my Source Server?
A: To add music to your Source server, follow these instructions:

1) You must have Mani Admin Plugin Installed.
2) Make sure that your music/sound files are 44.1KHz sample rate - the Source engine is pretty picky about this.
3) Place your files (preferably mp3) in the /sound/admin_plugin/
4) Edit /cfg/admin_plugin/soundlist.txt to include all your sounds. See the mani admin plugin documentation on the website for how to do this, but the file itself is fairly self-explanatory.
5) Sounds can now be played in-game by admins by using the in-game menu system. If you want sounds to be automated, you'll need to find and install a plugin that will do this.
Note: It's advised to limit the number of sounds you load - users don't like to wait for 50 sounds to download before they can connect to your server.

Q: How do I add or remove maps to my Mani Mod admin system?
A: If you want to add or remove maps available in the Mani Mod admin system for map changes (Option 3-1), edit your maplist.txt file. The admin system pulls the maps from this file. Adding maps to this file will add those maps to this menu. Removing maps will remove them.

Q: How do I remove killer/victim stats?
A: You need to edit your mani_server.cfg file. Set "mani_show_victim_stats" and "mani_show_victim_stats_inflicted_only" both to 0, save the file, and restart your server. If this does not work, then you'll need to find and delete your "mani_player_settings.txt" located in "cstrike/cfg/mani_admin_plugin/data/" and restart your server.

Q: How do I disable Mani Mod (for matches, etc)?
A: There are several different ways to turn on and off Mani Mod.

1) Counter-Strike.com customers have an easy way to turn off all major mods including Mani Mod with a single ommand:

ma_rcon exec war.cfg

To turn back on your mods use the following command:
ma_rcon exec waroff.cfg

2) You can simply turn Mani Mod into "war mode" with the following command, which disables most Mani Mod functions and is allowed with most leagues.

Turns on "war mode" that turns off/disables Mani Mod
ma_war 1

Turns off "war mode" that turns on/enables Mani Mod
ma_war 0

Counter-Strike.com customers also have the option to turn war mode on and off through their Mani-Plugin menu.

3) With the MetaMod version of Mani Mod you can load/unload plugins on-the-go you'd need to type the following into console:

To stop mani:
meta pause (id)

To re-enable:
meta unpause (id)

Where (id) is a number, which can be gotten from the command meta list, also plugins are numbered in the order of the plugins in the metaplugins.ini file. So if mani is first, or the only metamod plugin, it's will always be 01.

Or if the id doesn't work you can type into console to exact directory structure of the meta plugin:

meta unload addons\mani_admin_plugin\bin\mani_admin_plugin_mm

4) With the non-MetaMod version of Mani Mod you can load/unload plugins on-the-go you'd need to type the following into console:

plugin_print
(search the index number of mani into your server console)

Then type:

plugin_pause
(and mani is disabled)

You can unpause mani by typing:

plugin_unpause

Q: Why aren't custom skins I added being downloaded?
A: Make sure each file is upload to the correct directory on your server. Each skin you download will come with its own unique instructions and should contain information on where each file should be placed.

Any custom skin that you add to your server will not be downloaded by players joining your server unless you add each file to the following file. The instructions on exactly what you need to do are in the file itself on your server.

/cstrike/cfg/mani_admin_plugin/downloads.txt

If you are installing custom admin skins, you will need to reference the following files to allow the skins to show in your skin menus. These files will contain the instructions needed to install custom skins and you do not need to add the files to your downloads.txt file. WARNING: Custom admin skins can stop your server from responding or crash your server. If you have problems after installing them, you may want to consider removing them.

/cstrike/cfg/mani_admin_plugin/skins/admin_ct.txt
/cstrike/cfg/mani_admin_plugin/skins/admin_t.txt

Q: I ran a Steam Update and now Mani Mod isn't working?
A: Steam updates will set your gameinfo.txt file back to default, which will cause Meta Mod to stop working. Meta Mod is what makes Mani Mod and other mods load correctly. Counter-Strike.com customers can follow the instructions below to fix this problem right after the update to get Mani Mod and other mods to work again that are running through Meta Mod.

1) Log into your game server control panel.
2) Click on "Game Servers."
3) If you have multiple game servers, click on a server IP address.
4) Click on the "Game Mods" icon.
5) Select "Mani Mod / Meta Mod Fix" in the drop down box.
6) Click on "Install

Non-Counter-Strike.com customers need to edit their gameinfo.txt file in their cstrike directory from:

{
Game |gameinfo_path|.
Game cstrike
Game hl2
}

To this:
{
GameBin |gameinfo_path|addons/metamod/bin
Game |gameinfo_path|.
Game cstrike
Game hl2
}

Q: How do I use admin?
A: You will first need to install an admin Mod. Please see the section on "AMX" below.

Q: How do I use RCON?
A: You will need to use RCON commands on your server if you do not have a mod (Admin Mod, AMX Mod, Mani-Mod) installed. If you wish to install a mod go into the Game Mods section within CS Admin and install it.

You may then type commands such as:

rcon changelevel de_dust

Click here to learn more about RCON commands.

Q: How do I enable my console in order to type in Admin Commands?
A:
Console should already be enabled by default in Counter-Strike 1.6 now. If for some reason it's not, you'll need to find your config.cfg file located in your Steam directory under Counter-Strike on your computers, do a search for "console" and change the console variable to 1.

Q: How do I add bots?
A: Bots are not built into Counter-Strike 1.6.  You'll need to install bots yourself just like any other mod, or simply open a support ticket and we can add bots to your server for you.

Q: How do I add mods?
A: You can add mods yourself through FTP or you can add the preinstalled mods by going to the Mods section within CS Admin and install them. Any mods that we do not have within CS Admin that you'd like installed open a support ticket with the link online that you can find the mod at.

Q: How do I enable Headshot / Multikill sounds?
A: This option should be available for you to turn on in your amx_statscfgmenu menu if you have AMX installed.

Type in console:

amx_statscfgmenu

If you are admin, then it'll bring up pages of options. Scroll over to the sounds that you'd like to turn on and change them to on. You may have to press "More" to see more options.

If this does not work, make sure you have the correct modules and plugins installed and enabled in your "plugins.ini" file and your "modules.ini" file.

Q: How do I install Plugins?
A: -First you need to find and download a plugin from the internet. Plugins are not easy to find for CS:1.6 anymore. If the plugin was created for a different version of AMX or AMXX (1.71 vs 1.76) then what you are using then it will not work without being recompiled. See the next section on "The Plugin I uploaded is not working" for more information on compiling plugins.
-If you are using AMX, then the plugin extension needs to be .amx
-If you are using AMXX, then the plugin extension needs to be .amxx
[Example is AMXX]
1) Using FTP or a control panel navigate to the following directory:

/cstrike/addons/amxmodx/plugins

Upload the plugin into this directory.
2) Using FTP or a control panel navigate to the following directory:

/cstrike/addons/amxmodx/configs

3) Open your "plugins.ini" file located in this directory.
4) At the bottom of this file you'll need to add the exact name of the plugin file you uploaded earlier.

Exmpale: restmenu.amxx

5) Save the file and restart your server.
6) If it does not work, then the plugin just doesn't work or you'll need to recompile it.

Q: The Plugin I uploaded is not working (Compiling Plugins)
A: You MUST have the .sma file to compile a plugin. If you only have the .AMXX or .AMX file, you can't continue. Web Compiler (AMXX Only)
The easiest way to compile your plugins is with the web compiler located here: AMXX Web Compiler: http://www.amxmodx.org/webcompiler.cgi
The disadvantage of the web compiler is that it only compiles plugins to the newest AMXX version, so if the version you have on your server is older, then it wont work for you.
After the file is compiled, take the .amx or .amxx file and follow the "How do I install Plugins" instructions.

Manually Compile
1) You may need to install the AMX/AMXX version onto your computer for full access to the needed files.
2) Place the .sma file into the "addons/amxmodx/scripting" directory that you have full access to.
3) Double click on the "compile.exe" file in the "addons/amxmodx/scripting" directory. This will compile all plugins.
4) The .amx or .amxx file will now be in the "/cstrike/addons/amxmodx/scripting/compiled" folder.
5) Take the .amx or .amxx file and follow the "How do I install Plugins" instructions.

Q: Why aren't the in-game commands for HLStatsX showing up?
A: You will need to log into your HLStatsX control panel and under your "Ingame" options, check "Broadcast Playevents" and "Ingame Statistic Query" and select the correct Mani Mod options in the drop down menus.

Q: When connecting to my server I'm getting the error "Disconnected: Kicked by Console : Not a Top1-Player"
A: You'll first need to log into your HLStatsX control panel at the following link:
HLStatsX Control Panel
1) You'll need to find the variable "Minimum Players Position" and change it to 0.
2) Now restart your HLStatsX.

Q: Why doesn't the Accuracy show up for any player within HLStatsX?
A: You must enable advanced weapon logging to get accuracy values displayed. This can be either achieved with mani v1.2 or the small-statsme-plugin. We would recommended mani v1.2. You can easily activate the weapon logging within the mani_server.cfg with the option mani_external_stats_log.

Q: Other HLStatsX Help
A: Use the following link: HLStatsX Help

Q: What is the web site I can control my server from?
A: Use the following link:

http://control.counter-strike.com/

Q: Why wont it let me upload files/maps?
A: Make sure you are using the correct web address for the control panel if you are using Internet Explorer or Mozilla/Firefox for your ftp client. If the browser is showing an "s" in "https," then that's the wrong link. [Example: https://www.counter-strike.com/control.php will not work properly] The correct link is (http://control.counter-strike.com). If that is correct, clear your browser's cookies and cache, close any popup blockers, lower your security settings set within your browser, and try again. If that does not work, then try using another internet browser. If you are not using ftp to add files, you may wish to switch to using ftp.  It's easier and more reliable.

Q: Where can I find information about Warcraft 3 Mod for CS:Source?
A: Forums: Warcraft 3 Forums for CS:Source: http://www.mattie.info/cs/forums/viewforum.php?f=22

Q: How do I use FTP?
A: To use ftp:

1) From the beginning screen in your control panel click on "Game Servers"
2) If you have multiple game servers, click on a server IP address.
3) In the box you will see an ip address next to "FTP." Example:
     207.168.11.12:21
You can simply click on that ip address or hostname and your default browser should open your ftp client or you can continue on.
4) Open Internet Explorer or another browser and type in the following assuming your ip address is the one above
     ftp://207.168.11.12:21
5) A prompt will ask you for a username and password once or twice. Enter the same username and password you use for your control panel
6) You'll now have ftp access to your server files.
You can, of course, always use your own ftp program, but this is easier.

If you are uploading maps, simply navigate to your "maps" folder and upload maps there.

If you are unable to access FTP please open a support ticket that includes your ftp username and password. If support is able to log into your server through ftp, then the problem is with the browser that you are currently using. You'll need to clear your cookies, cache, temporary internet files, check your security permissions, and possibly reboot your computer. If that does not work, then you'll need to use another browser such as Mozilla/Firefox instead of what you are currently using (example: Internet Explorer). We do not support third party browsers such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla/Firefox and we do not support third party ftp programs such as SmartFTP. You will need to contact those separate companies for support on why you are unable to use ftp correctly.

Another way to access ftp through Windows:

1. Go to the folder "My Network Places".
2. On the right panel, click "Add a Network Place".
3. On the second step, click the 2nd option "Choose Another Network Location".
4. On the third step, put in the ip or url, examples "208.100.20.241" or "ftp://ftp.blah.com".
5. On the fourth step, uncheck the box "Log on Anonymously", put your login name in.
6. Last, it will ask you what you would like it to be named, that is up to you.

NOTE: when you double click the icon it makes, it will ask for the password.

Q: Why isn't my server 100 tickrate?

Q: Why am I getting the message 'missing BSP' when trying to connect to a custom map I uploaded?
A: If the custom map that you added is over 16 megs you may be having this problem. Steam doesn't allow you to download maps over 16 megs in size unless the map was designed specifically for this. To correct the maps flaw, you'll need to add the following variable into your server.cfg file.

net_maxfilesize 20
(The integer "20" needs to be larger than the size of the map.

Q: How do I make certain variables load only on one or more maps?
A: 1. Navagate to the /cstrike/cfg/mani_admin_plugin/map_config folder.
2. Create a file name after the map.cfg (i.e. for de_dust, it would be de_dust2.cfg)
3. Edit the file and add the configs you want to change (i.e. sv_gravity 200, mp_startmoney 16000, ect)
4. Save the file then repeat the steps until you have made all the confgs you want for your maps.
5. Restart the server and change to a map that has a map.cfg and make sure the settings are the way you want them.

Q: What is the difference between a public and private server?
A: A public server does not have to be password protected. You are not required to have a password on the server at all times. You can, however, put a password and take the password off of the server at any time. A private server must be password protected at all times. This means that only players that know the password can join the server. Private servers are used mainly for competition matches or scrims.

Q: How do I change the sound that plays when someone joins the server?
A: A: You will need to follow these instructions:

1. Rename the "joinserver.mp3" file that is located in the /cstrike/sound/admin_plugin/actions folder to "joinserver.mp3_old". You can do this through the File Manager in the server Control Panel or FTP.

2. Rename the MP3 file that you would like to play upon startup to "joinserver.mp3" and then upload it to your /cstrike/sound/admin_plugin/actions/ folder.

3. Edit the actionsoundlist.txt file located in the /cstrike/cfg/mani_admin_plugin/ folder and remove the two slashes (//) from the begining of the following line.

//"joinserver" admin_plugin/actions/joinserver.mp3

4. Save the file, then restart the server.

You may then have to go to your /cstrike/cfg/mani_admin_plugin/ folder and edit your downloads.txt file to have the line below.

"my_file" "sound/admin_plugin/actions/joinserver.mp3"

Q: Why doesn't "rebuy" work?
A: ES Tools disables rebuy by default. If you have this installed (comes with mods like GunGame) you need to change a variable in the following file.

/cstrike/cfg/es_tools.cfg

Change

est_Hook_Cheatish 1

To:

est_Hook_Cheatish 0

And then restart your server.

7) To enable the mod or mods again, just remove the ";;" in front of the line, save the file, and restart your server.

Q: How do I make someone an admin or superamdin on my Garry's Mod server?
A: To add an admin to your server, open the "users.txt" file which can be found in the Default Config FIles section of your game server control panel.

Once opened, you will see something similar to this:

"superadmin"
{
//"garry" "STEAM_0:1:7099"
}

"admin"
{
//"garry" "STEAM_0:1:7099"
}

Now insert your name and steam ID into the mix, but don't put any slashes before it. For instance if someone's Steam ID was STEAM_0:1:23456 and you wanted to add them as a superadmin you would make the following changes:

"superadmin"
{
//"garry" "STEAM_0:1:7099"
"someone" "STEAM_0:1:23456"
}

"admin"
{
//"garry" "STEAM_0:1:7099"
}

Now save the file and restart your game server for the superadmin privileges to take effect.

Q: How do I upload content from other Steam games to my Garry's Mod server?
A: Before you do this you will want two things. First, you want a very fast internet connection. Even using high speed internet uploading game content can take several hours. The second thing you will need is an FTP program to upload all of the files for you. You can find more information on how to use FTP in our FTP FAQ by clicking here. You can currently only copy content to a Garry's Mod server from Valve's "OrangeBox" line of games.

Once you have an FTP program and a high speed internet connection then you are ready toconnect to your server and start transferring files. Open up your FTP client program andconnect to your game server. Now, find the content folder on your home computer and copy it over to your game server's core directory. An example of transferring your TF2 content folder from your home computer using the FileZilla FTP client is given in the image below:

Now sit back and let the files upload to your server. This will likely take several hours. You can minimiaze your FTP client window and let the files transfer in the background and you can still use your computer for other stuff while you wait. Be aware that your internet connection will often be sluggish while the files are uploading so you should wait to do this when you plan on not needing your internet connect for awhile. Once the content has finished uploading to your server, simply restart your game server, and it will then be fully accessible in-game.

Q: How do I change the gamemode on my Garry's Mod server?
A: First you need to make sure that the gamemode you want to load is installed to the following folder on your game server.

/garrysmod/gamemodes/

Next, open the "server.cfg" file, which can be found in the Default Config Files section of your game server control panel. Now go to the bottom of the file and place the following command on a blank line:

sv_defaultgamemode "DarkRP"

We use DarkRP in this example, but you can load any gamemode you have installed on your server. Simply changes "DarkRP" in the example above to match the folder name of the game mode you wish to load.

Click "Save" at the bottom of the window once you have finished editing the server.cfg file. Now all you need to do is restart the server for the gamemode that you chose to begin loading.

Q: Where can I find documentation and support for Garry's Mod?
A: Garry's Mod is a very large playground and, due to the sheer number of possible configurations, we will not be able to teach you everything that you can do with your server. We suggest that you read the extensive instruction manual and other documentation that is posted on Garry's Mod's official website to learn more. They also have helpful, friendly, and free technical support on their forums at that same website. The Garry's Mod website can be located at the link below:

http://www.garrysmod.com

Q: How do I login to play on my Left4Dead server?
A:
1) Open up your Left 4 Dead game client.

2) Go to "Keyboard Options" and put a check mark in the box labeled "Enable Developer Console".

3) Now press the tilde key (~) on your keyboard to bring up the console.

4) Type "openserverbrowser" into the console and press on your keyboard. This will bring up the Steam server list.

5) Click on the "Favorites" tab and add your own server to your list of favorites.

6) Now you can double-click on your server in the favorites section of your server-browser at anytime to login to your server.

Q: How do load Versus mode on my Left4Dead server?
A: Your server will automatically load Versus mode anytime it loads a Versus map. If you wish to disable Versus mode then simply load any non-Versus map.

Q: How do I add admins to my Left4Dead server?
A: Left4Dead does not have a built-in admin management system, so you will either need to use standard RCON commands to manage your server or you will need to install an admin mod, such as SourceMod, to perform this task.

Q: I want to learn about my net_graph
A: Find out about your net_graph here:

Net_graph
